Be sure to shake out any food crumbs or sand before putting your bags in storage. Hang your tote or store in a canvas dust bag ( never a plastic bag) to protect your it from dust and mold. Stuff your bags to keep it’s shape from getting distorted while in storage. Do not carry heavy products that may affect the shape of the bag.

Protect from direct light, heat and rain. Should it become wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth.

Clean with a soft, dry cloth.

Bangkuang, is a fibre derived from the staple root vegetable also known as Jicama. It is harvested and dried in the sun which turns the fibers from green to beige. The dried strips are then hand woven unto a wooden mold to give it it’s shape. Each bag takes days to be completed using weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations.
